Wizards Home Opener and my new friend Jimmy

The Kansas City Wizards (our favorite MLS team) had their season opener on Saturday, we made the trip to KC to cheer them on to victory over DC United. The set up for the stadium is pretty weird, right now the Wizards are without a home, so they have to play in a baseball diamond. We finally found the best view after walking around the whole stadium at halftime!

It was a pretty exciting game and we stuck around for a few minutes after the game to get some pictures of players.

The first guy is Marcello Gallardo a new player for DC from Argentina, in Jason's words "He's a Baller!"

Jimmy Conrad has been a defender for the KC Wizards for a quite a while now, and for those who don't know much about him (Mom) he was on the US National team roster in the 2006 World Cup! He was such a nice guy, the only player from either team that stopped to sign autographs. Of course when I saw that he was doing this, I immediately ran over to where he was and pushed all the little kids out of the way! Jimmy was kind enough to stop and take a picture...
